I kind of like it, but it is not my favorite, nor do I want to see it because I may be too old to watch that play. I have heard if the musical High School Musical, but I think the play is too unclear of what is being portrayed as a story, and the song do not make any sense whatsoever because it mainly has nothing to do with what happening in the story. It is definitely a Disney-based play due to the fact that it is owned by the Disney channel. It's not annoying, but it's just too boring and trite because their plays always apply to the younger audiences instead of the adult/mature audiences. The musical is on Broadway in New York, but it is meant to be performed for the children 11-13ish audience. The reason you might find it annoying is the fact that High School Musical is too pop in which the musical resurrected the already dead craze for boy-bands such as *NSYNC or Backstreet Boys, or the bubblegum - styled music which was also dead since the late 90s, and extremely too happy for a play that is based around the beginning of the teenage years. However, some plays are just meant to entertain. I doubt most of these kids are prestigious in singing or acting because I have to admit these kids are not as great with acting as people would say nor singing, but I would have to give them credit for performing on Broadway. Broadway is a lot different than movie acting where there is no retake when it comes to performing on stage. Do not hate them because they are kids on stage, but for goodness sakes cut them a break for trying to entertain the younger generation. At least they are not desensitizing pop music or music in general.

I've never seen it, nor do I have the intention of seeing it. I don't see why it's such a big deal. Everywhere I go, it's "High School Musical this, High School Musical that." I would agree in saying that it's annoying seeing products 4 it damn near everywhere.

I dont. I played Vanessa in my school play of it! I mean I had to watch it a million times because I was also the director.... I mean now I dont watch it 24/7 but I mean its alright now.

All my friends like it but i cannot watch 5 minutes before i start pulling my hair out i hate it.

My little neice loves it. I on the other hand reach for a bottle of aspirin everytime they start singing cause i cant deal with the noise. The only musical i will ever like is CRYBABY WITH JOHNNY DEPP. If its not crybaby im not watching it.

i can't stand it. the songs make no sense and remind me of boybands like backstreet boys ect.. the guys sound like chicks and it altogether doesn't have a plot worth sitting and watching. some of my friends love it and im the only one that doesn't it drives me crazy sometimes!
i haven't seen it but i saw part of a song on a comercial and from what my friends tell me i don't want to see it

its getting old. when the movie first started, there was a talent show at my school and almost everybody's talent was singing and everybody's song was from highschool musical! yeah.
but i dont despise the movie
