Basicly, If it needs to be charged, do I plugged it in the the thing that gos into the computer? (the usb thing...the thing that I use to download music)

You should be able to charge your Shuffle by plugging it into the white thing that goes into the computer. The battery of a shuffle typically lasts about 14 hours, so you'll need to charge it eventually.

you should be able to charge it where you plug in the usb link. if you connect the shuffle to the usb link and connect the link to the place on your computer where you would normally put it to download music then it should charge for you. good luck and congrats on your ipod shuffle.

Yes, you just stick it right into the USB port! Shuffles tend to charge quickly as well.
