Graded? or certified?

old pennies mean nothing...
its the rarity..such as number minted or mint mark.
plus the condition...

PCGS charges 35 to grade a coin.
but does grades just any coin.
MINT STATE (MS) 6- or higher...for normal coin but some coins that are rare will grade in fine condition..

few pennies worth a lot of money....
check out pcgs.com and see by year and grade...

will you coin grade high enough to pay 35.00 to get certified?
few do...

some grading companies charge less but are less reliable..

you can find them under coin grading companies...

goood luck...

Most old pennies only have high value if they are in excellent (like new) condition. There are a few very scarce pennies that are exceptions. Nothing newer than 1931 has significant value. You need to find a local coin dealer with a good reputation and let him look at your coins. If you are going to attempt to sell them on ebay, you need very good pictures.
