sorry never had my belly button pierced, but would think if you leave ring out then it might close?, I don't think your mother would notice if you covered up, but perhaps you shouldn't do it behind her back...

Okey, you have to be 18 years or older to get your button peirced. If you are under 18 you MUST have a parent/guardien with you. Do not go behind your mothers back to get it peirced. Yeah they are cute, but they are alot of work.

You have to keep it clean. So, you need a special solution for it. I'm guesing that by your age, that you are no old enough to have a job, so how are you going to pay for your cleaning supplies? You can't, mom or dad has the money.

Also, if she finds out you did something she said no to behind her back, you've just broken your trust with your mother, and any parties or sleepovers you had plans for in the next couple of months, kiss those plans goodbye.

If she says NO, ask her (without being bitchy or whiny) why? And chances are she will say "you aren't old enough" (which, you prolly aren't) " you won't take care of it" (belly button ring infections are NO JOKE) "you don't deserve it" ( well..nuff said) or "It isn't proper" (meaning, she doesn't want you dressing like a hoochie walking around showing boys your belly button ring, because thats the ONLY reason you get one of those, to show them off...)

so, if she says no, get over it and wait till you are 18. Small price to pay for personal freedom.

1. YES IT HURTS! No matter how old you are.
2. Your mom WILL see it.

I got mine done back in college. The biggest thing about navel piercing is it takes 6-12 months to truly heal. It can easily become infected and you WILL lose the ring. You have to take very good care of it and most girls don't. Once the ring is removed it leaves a scar. So think hard before you do this and be sure you can care for this piercing. This means wearing lose clothing, no swimming and constant cleaning.

Please don't do it.Heres whats gonna happen if you do.You will somehow get it done (and if some how you do you might wanna take it out because if your mom wasn't there to sign the permission slip it's probly not a place you want to get any kind of body modification from.) So you get it,so if it doesn't get infected, you mom will eventually see it and make you take it out.Depending on how long you get away with it the hole may or may not close up.If it does you are lucky.I had mine done over 6 years ago, about 3 years ago I took it out,the hole never closed. Its not very attrictive, and it was done in a sterile professional enviroment.Just wait it out, talk to your mom and see when and if she will let you get it done. That way you can get it done in a safe place and not have to sneek around trying to clean it and you can actually take care of it properly.Just wait.

It doesn't hurt much. My friends got their bellies pierced and they said it hurt a bit for like 10 seconds and then the pain stopped. And I guess your mom won't notice 'cause when my friends remove the piercing you can barely see the whole. But you can't take off the piercing 'till 6 months passed or you'll get an infection. I think it's best you get your mother's permission, in case she finds out later. Better to be safe than sorry }=D

in my opinion i imagine abdomen button earrings are extra appropriate. I easily have one and that i didnt imagine it change into painful. My sister has both and he or she suggested her nostril damage the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nostril, and abdomen button. issues can take position with both you actually might want to be careful now to not get an infection. They both will scar inspite of the indisputable fact that the nostril might want to be considered extra. My sister has slightly carry in her nostril (it truly is closed) yet you'll discover the position it change into. It isnt extremely noticable yet nevertheless there. And abdomen buttons earrings go away a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. i wish this allows you come to a decision.

They're pretty difficult to hide after you get them done. You'll be sore for at least a week, makes it hard to sit down/get up. Also, no more sleeping on your side or stomach for a while.

If you try to take the ring out before it's healed (at LEAST 3 months), it will close up within an hour. You have to wear the solid hoop for that long before you can move up to the bars (normal ones)

If you are under 18, you'll have to have parental permission anyway, so it's probably best to wait.

It does hurt a little. I got my professional one done on my 18th birthday. Before that, I had a friend of mine do it when I was 16, that hurt even worse, because the barbell was bigger than the needle he used to pierce it, of course, my first one got infected. Get it done by a professional, you will also want a barbell instead of a hoop, hoops cause infections, onece it is healed you can put a hoop in, just be careful!!

It hurts no matter what your age. You can probably hide it after the redness and swelling disappear. The hole isn't that noticable after it heals. Chances are, though, she is going to catch you with it eventually. You'll forget to take your ring out, or she'll find some in your room, people she knows may see you out in public and tell her about it. Hiding such a thing for any length of time will be stressful and difficult.

It doesn't hurt when it happens. When I had mine done, I didn't even realize they did anything until they were putting the bar in. As far as your other questions, I don't know if it is obvious when you don't wear a ring at the time or not. I had to take mine out only a few months after I got it.

if u get it pierced u cant take it out for a while, but if you only want a small hole so you mom wont notice, go for a bigger gauge.
Big gauge (16) = small hole
Small gauge (4) = big hole
it doesnt hurt much, plus u can buy these clear plugs so the hole doesnt grow over and your mom probably wont notice them
