The newest version of media connect, is going to install windows media 11. You need that to start off. Then your xbox, and 360, need to be connected through a network, router. Once installed, you should be able to search, and find, your xbox 360. You have to make sure to allow it. Then your computer has to be on, for your 360 to access the files, which need to be in the MY Documents folders to be accessed. You can only access music, and picture files, along with CD's, or DVD's ran from the computer.

If you have a Windows Media Center based PC, you can use your 360 as a DVR, to record TV.
