At most schools the students work on their own cars, the faculty's cars and the general public's cars. You just need to call the school up and talk to the person in charge of scheduling. The only drawback is unless you know someone in the program there is usually a long wait.

You can call around to any college or mechnic school. When I went we worked on the teacher's friends cars. I'm sure they'll work on it for cost of the parts, HOWEVER, you are dealing with students, you may not want to put your life in their hands for repairs such as brakes and other safety devices. I know that when I was in school, we didn't do the greatest work because we didn't know what we were doing, some cars had to come back for a re-do. One guy's brakes caught on fire!

Some of the cars are customer cars and then some of them are cars "donated" to the school by a dealership or company. Just go to the trade school and talk to anyone who is in charge of the automotive department.

most of them will do it just for the cost of the parts...would be free labor and they are all checked by the instructors call all the trade and tech schools in your area and ask if they do this...good luck
