Ive been bowling alot lately and i was considering getting a ball. The ball i currently use is 12lbs but the only reason i use it is cause the finger holes fit perfect. i was thinking i should try 13 or 14lbs cause i used a different ball today and it felt heavier but it had the same finger holes. im 16 and about 5'10 and 200lbs and will changing the weight affect me and how.

Find the weight that feels best,I like a heavy ball ! The finger holes can be drilled to fit your fingers !

A bowler of your size can probably easily handle a 16lb bowling ball. However, 15lbs is probably the most common weight.

The reason a "house" ball that is 16 lbs likely feels very heavy is that the fingerholes and span do not fit you. When you have to stretch of squeeze the ball it adds tension in your arm which makes the ball seem heavier. When you get a ball drilled to fit you, you won't need to squeeze it.

I recommend buying a ball at a bowling proshop instead of a generic sporting goods store, because they will have the expertise to fit you properly. And if you want to become a 200 average bowler, I recommend using a fingertip grip instead of the conventional grip style of a "house" ball.

it depends on a lot of things, first how long have you been bowling, taken any lessons, do you bowl in a league or would like to. the one thing i do know is that bowling has turned to technology like all other sports. really good bowlers come to the alleys with 6 to 8 balls. by the way what is your average score? you won't go wrong with either a 15 or a 16 pound ball. tell you what, answer some of these questions to me, and i can further help you.

been averaging over 200 for 30 years.

There is a flap in your oesophagus which flips to and fro to put air down into the lungs , and food and drink down into the stomach . Only God could be dumb enough to try to run both things through the same pipe , but there you go . If that is not working now , or only partly working now , or is mis-shaped and does not make a seal , then as he eats / drinks , he will breathe some of that down into his lungs , from where he tries to cough it out again . Get your Vet to check it out . Left untreated = Chest infection , followed by pneumonia .

if you are comfortable with a heavy ball, use it, because the heavier, the better, as long as you don't feel like you have to lug it and can get a good speed and spin on it
