youngest child turns 16 years old MY benefit check will stop. Now, reguarding the maximum family household benefit ,which I qualify for, will my check be split then between my 2 children increasing their monthly check amount? I am trying to make some future financial decsions.

i would call / email social security but i think that each child get so much and when one turns 16 they deduct the amount and it get smaller

I believe so. I know a girl collecting child support and she has 3 kids when the oldest turned 18 the other two checks went up to the same amount as all three. There should be no difference in support.

Its different in every state. In Ohio, if your mom/ dad dies you get a check until your 18. So i do not know
