First, if this is happening, or happened to you with approval crap flows downward. So the manager will give you every indication he has an issue, and officially will look into it, but leave you with that impression nothing will really be done. Remember, you want to get to the truth, and I believe they would more likely reveal the truth if you are alone. Leave someone out in the car while you go in to talk to the manager. Find out who was working at that time in the kitchen. Once you have convinced yourself of this I would contact the united civil liberties union, and if you can prove these people are guilty of this, and members of the KKK in your area, then you can sue the KKK through an advocate.
Gather information, what you said, who you said it to, their explanation, date & time. Do thiis in person so you can be seen entering and leaving the establishment by others. Also contact corportate headquarters for BK, and attorney general and FDA, and get an Aides organization involved too since this one way aides can be spread. Believe me, the more you get involved the better your cause will have of success. You want media coverage, but won't happen without alot of agencies involved.

Unfortunately, you did not define why you think someone spat in your food. Did finding out that you live near KKK grounds make you feel more vulnerable to that?
Prejudice is fear of the unknown, I believe. Do you have friends nearby you could discuss this with? Especially friends of another race? Remember, there are good and bad anywhere...just don't go to that BK any more - there have to be other restaurants where you'd feel more comfortable...
