Go for it if she says now than that's her lost. Don't care about what other people think if she says no or yes because either or you get something good out of it. :)

can you do home work together?...if you can,...start from there...lets say you study history, a trip to a museum will be helpful....stuff like that.
come up with a subject that leads to a nice place to visit...or a movie to see etc....

how about you sweep her off her feet but become friends first then
when you have gotten to know her, pluck up all the courage you have and ask her. it is the only way she will understand how you feel. hope i helped
