i want to move to florida but im terrified of hurricanes since we dont usually get them here in ny.. is there a specific location where hurricanes dont hit?

I live east of orlando near the space center. We rarely get hurricanes even when everyone else was getting them 2 years ago we had little damage. I had none.

I just moved fm NY to Fla.2 yrs now it went quick!! Ilive in central Fla. Anyplace inland usually don't get hurricanes. Charlie was the 1st one to come inland for 45 yrs. The gulf & East coast are likely to get storms but this year none of them came to Fla anywhere.

Inland is safer but it's part of living down there !
