Burnaby Joe is a future hall of fame member. How many players put as much heart and soul into every game as he does? He is a team leader, a great role model. He's got one of the quickest releases in Hockey.
Plus how many players can say they have accomplished all that he has?
Stanley Cup - Yes
Olympic Gold Medal - Yes

Joe Sakic is good, though, statistically speaking, he does not perform as he once did. He was instrumental in Colorado's Stanley Cup successes in 1996 and 2001 and remains a great leader. He works hard and sets a good example for his teammates. Sure he isn't as fast as he once was and his shot isn't has powerful, but that doesn't diminish the respect almost every hockey player in North America has for him and his game. Sakic was never a flashy player, so many don't list him as one of the "greats," but those who've watched him play over the years can attest to his skill, leadership, and role in Colorado's past success. Oh, and usually players who suck don't win the Hart Trophy, the Conn Smythe Trophy, and the Bud Plus-Minus Trophy.

Huh? Is this a rhetorical question? Not only is he good but how many guys past 35 can still rack up the points? He is still not only good but great and a definite Hall of Famer.
