I just purchased a new laptop a few weeks ago...I tried to install itunes and I can't even open it up. There's a version of quicktime already on my computer that I can't uninstall to reinstall. Any help would be appreciated as I have an ipod mini that i'm unable to use right now.

It's possible that the version on your computer is out of date. I would uninstall first and then go to Itunes/Quicktime website to reinstall software. The link is provided below.
