If you are already getting them, it's hard to stop it. You could turn on some spam filters on E-mail clients like Outlook but they're never perfect.

I suggest getting two new addresses. One for private use and one throw away address for junk. Only tell your personal friends about your private address. Make sure this address is never publicized on any webpage, forum or blog. If you can google your e-mail address, it's going to get spammed sooner or later.

Use your junk address for shopping, posting on forums/blogs and signing up for anything on the internet. Expect spam only on this junk address.

You can't really. The email address from the sender is usually spoofed (made up) and will be different everytime. So choosing the option to block email from the sender doesn't usually do any good.

The best defense is to set up several email accounts. One you use to communicate with family. Another you use for friends (especially the ones that like to forward a bunch of crap). Then another for signing up on websites or handing out to any kind of third party where you have a feeling it might be sold/given away.

The reason why I wouldn't combine Family and Friends is strictly for the forwarding reason I mentioned. When you forward a funny email for example, your address gets stuck on the "From:" stamp. People who know better should be removing the addresses before they forward it on, but most don't. So at some point, your address is going to make it into a spammer's inbox. And there you go...

It's a huge problem. You've gotten onto some kind of list, based on some marketing criterion.
The only solutions I can think of are: get your ISP to block all the ones you identify; use a SPAM filter on your e-mail program to block the ones that get through; and then never, never visit sex sites -- even incidentally, because every one of them will tag your address for future spamming. By all means, do not respond to any of these e-mails, since that only confirms to the spammers that they have a valid e-mail address. Doing so will only guarantee you many more months of x-rated enjoyment.

Get a tighter security system for your emails....mine won't let anything new through unless I approve it...otherwise it stays in junk for two weeks..then gets deleted and never comes in to the inbox

everytime you get them just block or label the sender as "spam" and eventually they will go to your junk folder. I don't get any anymore becuase I went on a spamming spree hahaa. They wont go to our inbox if you just do that.

It depends on your E-mail service provider. Seeing as you are most likely a Yahoo! "customer" i suggest that you set your incoming mail to only receive e-mail from your address book.
