Well, using averages it would take about 3,980.9 hours if you could make a straight line trajectory and meet the moon as it circles. That's just shy of 166 days. Realistically, though, you'd have to circle the earth in low orbit and sling-shot to the moon which would add a lot more distance, but you would also be able to go faster than your limit of 60 MPH in your rocket without using fuel as the pull of orbit would move the rocket around the Earth (just as it does with the moon).
Added note: I see a few quotes stating the moon is about 400,000 miles away. I think they're confusing kilometers and miles. On average the moon is about 238,854 miles (about 384,400 km). So, divide the distance by the speed -- using like units, miles with miles per hour -- (238,854/60 = 3980.9 hours. Divide that by 24 to get the total number of days and you get 165.870... or about 166 days)

If you could fly to the Moon at a constant speed of 1000 kilometers per hour, which is the speed of a fast passenger jet, it would take sixteen days to get there. Apollo astronauts reached the Moon in less than four days even though they coasted "uphill" almost the entire distance. They got a fast start.
60mph = 96.56kph. Do the calculation yourself

The moon is 406,700 miles from the earth. At a speed of 60 miles per hour, that would take you about 6778 hours,or 282.5 days... Have a great trip, and send me a post card when you get there.
