Hey! 1st time mom and I've got some questions, and NEED any help I can get! Serious answers ONLY please!

I'm 29 wks. 1 day, and Today & Sat. I lost SOME of what I "think" Is my muscus plug..It's greenish w/a hint of white In It! My breasts have been leaking for 2 wks now, and I've been feeling my son low..and When I have Braxton hicks, I don't feel him move, It's not steady contractions, but I'm just a tad bit worried! I'm not due until March 18, & my next Dr. appt. Is next Thurs. I've already had signs of pre-term labor when I was 8 wks. (that's how I found out I was pregnant) any help? any advice?

A green mucus plug doesn't sound good. I would call your on call doc and ask right away. I lost my mucus plug over 6 weeks before I delivered, so I know losing it early is okay. The mucus plug should be clear with or without red streaks in it. Green sounds like it could be an infection.

Drink lots and lots of water all day and try to avoid exerting yourself. When you have sex, use some sort of protection to keep the semen from softening your cervix until you see your doc next.

Lay down on your left side and sip water when you get contractions. Do that for an hour and if that doesn't help, it's time to call the doctor.

With braxton hicks, the baby will still move during the contraction, but in real contractions, the baby will stop moving and start moving again after the contraction is over.

Call you doctor now before it gets any later and they should be able to tell you over the phone if your contractions are BH or not and if a green plug is okay. Call now.

First Im not a Dr. but I am a medic and mom of 3, so Id get the green discharged evaluated, Thats not your plug it could be an infection. Your breats leaking is normal, nothing to worry about. Best bet is to go to the Labor and delivery dept for evaluation if your gut tells you too and STAY HYDRATED, dehydration can bring on pre term labor. This is why they dump a couple of thousand bags of normal saline via IV and send you home. Been there done that. Good luck

You need to seriously contact your doctor. When I went into labor last year, my contractions were very abnormal. I thought they were just tighter BHicks but they were the real thing. (I had my son a month early). Have you had any kind of 'show' before? Green seems to be a troublesome sign. Are you high risk pregnancy? What kinds of signs did you have at 8 wks?

CALL YOUR DR! That's what they are here for.
