If you want to get a degree in business, make it count.

The only business degree that guarantees employment is accounting.

The reason for this is legal. The "Foreign Corrupt Practices Act" of many years ago has a section which requires all companies to keep accurate books regardless of where they operate. It also sets some standards for this. Legally, a company has to hire people with degrees in accounting to do accounting.

Accounting is the only business field where that is true.

A company can hire ANYBODY to do marketing, management, sales, advertising, etc. There are no legal restrictions or even formal education requirements for anything else in the business world.

Iam going for business as well. Iam studying international business though. Iam using my degree to go into the military though. Iam think in the civilian sector that you can use it for management positions or like the guy said before me you can use it for clerical work as well. Once you get your bachelors, you should use whatever university you are attending to get paid interships or something to start the ball going. You can use a business degree in just about anything really, so i say just research jobs you are interested in a go for it. Most employers just care if you have a degree perferably a Bacholors, more than they care about what field you studying. Just from what ive seen anyway.

Alot of large companies want people with a bachelors degree. Even clerical. They pay great though and have excellent benefits. That is what you want to do trust me, who have 5 classes to complete a 2 year degree with no prospects. I'm thinking of starting over at 37 and getting my four year and getting a great job with benefits. If you are young, do it now, not at 37.
