Sugar is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.
The term "sugar" can actually refer to several different compounds.
Typical consumer refined sugar (sucrose) is made from two simpler sugars (gluose and fructose).
Salt (as in table salt) you should already know is made up of elements Sodium and Chlorine, and is often called by its chemical name, Sodium Chloride.
Starches, like sugars and other carbohydrates, are composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.
What compound "is presented" by copper and oxygen?
I'm not sure what is meant by "is presented" in this usage.
Copper and oxygen react to form copper oxides.

Straight forward enough
Salt - Sodium and Chlorine
Sugar - Hydrogen, Carbon and Oxygen
Copper and Oxygen make Copper Oxide
Starch is basically fats - Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen (Loads of wee OH groups)

Sugar - Carbon, hydrogen and Oxygen
Salt - Sodium and Chlorine
Starch - Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen
There are two copper/oxygen compounds ;-
1. Copper (I) oxide Cu2O ( Cuprous Oxide)
2.Copper (II) oxide CuO (Cupric Oxide)

Sugar: carbon.hydrogen oxygen.(Glucose=C6H12O6)
Salt: sodium + chlorine= sodium chloride NaCl
Starch:...as sugar.
Copper + oxygen = copper oxide
copper(i) oxide = Cu2O (two-O not 20)
copper(ii) oxide =CuO
By the way.Me!!...you've got the equation wrong;
2Cu(ii) + O2 = 2CuO....now it balances.
