i want to peirce my tongue and i need details on things that can happen ect. please give advise please

It doesn't hurt when you get it done, but it sure hurts later. You'll have problems eating and talking for a few days. But, if this is a phase..it's better to peirce than tattoo.

It feels painful. If you had your ears peirced, it`s 50% worst than that. Lots of infections can happen. It isn`t the same as peircing ears. You always have to keep the (thing to put on) on, because many small things can go in the hole. You have to clean it well to get a clean hole. No matter how ( thing to put on) bothers you, you have to keep ( thing to put on) on. You can`t make it go away. Make sure you completly want to peirce your tongue and ask your parents about peircing your tongue. It can be dangerous, though.

well, infection is the obvious.... things can get stuck in there.... you have to clean it often...
yeah, as someone stated above-- it is hard to get a job with a tongue piercing-- even a basic minimum wage job. it is just because they don't want to upset the old people... plus they think that it reflects your character... meaning you are a terrible employee along with the people who have tattoos... which is obviously not true... but is a form of discrimination and judging the whole on the basis of the few who are bad examples...
luckily, you CAN take your tongue ring out & CHANGE your MIND if you want.... it is quite different than a tattoo... so, just be prepared to clean it a lot.... and eat a little different for a few days... it will be more obvious than ear piercing as far as pain because it is in your mouth and you move your tongue all the time. your ears aren't in constant motion like that...

Well, it really depends on your body. Some people heal very quickly and others have to be very careful because they are more prone to infection. My friend had it done years ago, but he couldn't eat for a while and you have to swish with listerine a lot to keep from getting infection. Also, he had to get used to it being in his mouth, he kept accidently biting on it and stuff and said that it was very painful. Also, I think there is a risk of losing taste bud sensation. You will never gain employment that will amount to anything over minimum wage unless you do things with your tongue that some will pay more than minimum wage for.
That's what can happen.

if you eat certain foods if can get stuck in the pierced hole. you aren't supposed to ever take it out if you are eating because things will get stuck!

it could get infected...i would be sure and have it professionally done and make sure you keep ur mouth clean after you've gotten it done
