This is used as a day planner, and i'm very organized and neat, so this would not get beat up.

I like the first better but in high school i never used those kind of binders, i pretty much just had the mandatory 3 ring binders for each subject and didnt bother with the bulky annoying zip up ones

i wouldnt buy any school supplies for your years in hs before school starts. wait until you know exactly what you need. some teachers require that you have a binder specifically for their class while othes dont. also, its eaither you have one little binder for each subject, a few medium ones with around 2 classes in each or one huge one for all 5 or 6 classes.
its better to wait and see what you are most comfortable with.

woah! thats a lot of money for something that is going to get beat up try this instead, the pages inside are designed for the school year, and are geared for specific needs of students. i used one in colllege, but mine was black cordura.
