This is a very bad idea. Do you realize how many people get divorced in jail? You didn't rush to do this before he went to jail, so probably the only reason you want to now is because you both miss each other and he's concerned about your dedication to him and you want to prove it and all that insecure nonsense. Anyways, please reconsider...you'll be making a mistake going through with a prison marriage. If you did magically maintain this marriage, is that the story you would want to tell your potential children about their parents matrimonial experience? 3 years can be a long time and it's highly doubtful that you won't come across a more stable man that can successfully stay out of the prison system and be there for the family you'd probably like to have one day.

Are you sure about this? Do you really want your wedding photos to be of you two in a prison chapel?
3 years in the state penn is a lot. I don't know what he did but you need to do some serious soul searching about whether this is what you truly want. Do you want to be alone for the next 3 years while your husband is in jail? What if he goes back again when he's released.
If you are hellbent on marrying him then wait until he gets out. You can have a nice wedding just the way you want it to be, lots of time to think this over, and he'll have some time to clean up his act.

Now, before you get yourself involved with a person who is a criminal and therefore, has no rights as a responsible and law-abiding citizen has, what sort of life would you like to have for yourself? Do you want to come home to a man who is going to be all things to you 24/7 day after day? Do you want to throw your arms around him as you welcome him home from work, the same work that is supporting the two of you in your own home with the freedom and liberties that both of you were given the day you were born? If you want to take your heart and place it on hold and hope and pray that you will have the type of marriage you have always dreamed of, that is your choice to make. Personally, you deserve better and you should want more for yourself and your children down the road as well. I believe that you must suffer from some very low self-esteem to be wanting to claim this "man" for a husband. Are you really that down on yourself and are you really feeling you can't do any better that you want to commit yourself to a person who can offer you no future? When your head comes down from the clouds and your feet are firmly planted on the ground, perhaps then you'll awaken and realize that you deserve better and should seek happiness with someone who can offer you a better life. It is very unlikely that you will ever have a wonderful and rewarding life with someone who has little or no respect for others in their quest for happiness and peace in their lives!

ok first, make sure you really want to amrry a man going to prison, are you sure he is going to change when he gets out. If you really want to do this he has to get permission from the head jailer. Then you will still have to file for a marriage lic. just take it to him at the jail for him to sign, they have notaries there that can notorize it for him, then you have to find someone willing to marry the two of you while he is in jail. The first thing is that he needs to get permission to do that and then you get the lic. and then find someone to marry you two.,.

A lot of people have gotten married in jail no matter the circumstances. I think all you would need is some kind of marraige lisence and someone to do the ceremony and you would need witnesses preferrably family or close friends of yours.

My first thought was a shrink, but really , why would you want to get married that way? Why not wait until he gets out? And then have a nicer environment for your special day. I don't think that's a good way to start a life with someone while they are in prison.

Are you sure you want to marry a man who is in jail?? Do you think he will stay out of trouble when he gets out??
You have some serious thinking to do.
Think with your brain and not your heart.

You should not be overly concerned with marrying someone in prison. God has more for you.

Call the court house that issues licenses and see if they know how you should proceed with this.
