I lived there for 7 years. It's deffinely pretty and a great place to stay. Captiva Island, which you can get to by driving out to the end of Sanibel, is even more fun. I suggest going to Tween Waters Inn on Captiva and visiting the pool bar. They can also set up boat trips, kayaking, and give you more information on the things you can do there. Deffinetly a good get away location.

Sanabel Is a good place to visit. Was there a couple of months ago. Its close to the Edision Ford Museum in Ft Myers. Worth the drive.

I've been there and I will return at the end of this month. Very quiet. Beautiful Seashells. Good restaurants. If it's too quiet for you, go over the bridge to Ft Myers. I love staying at the Kona Kai.
