It depends on the person. I have had people who lay it on there and others who don't. Subway is a very rich company somehow I doubt that you asking for extra mayo is going to cause them to fold.

I once worked at an upscale deli, making sandwiches. I was told I was putting too much sauces and spreads on the buns. It's about portion control. It had something to do with the dressing having a really expensive mustard in it, and not to waste it. Maybe that Subway was being chintzy too.

Yeah it really depends on which store and who you ask. I actually had to take some off mine the other day, the put so much on. That might have been one of those unscrewing the lid on the salt shaker type pranks though. I think they want to keep the subs healthier though, and mayo is high in fat.

Depends on the person putting the sandwich together. Don't worry about putting the franchise out of business. I always tell the person behind the counter to put on twice as much as normal and then double that. They usually comply. Be bold. Stand up for your rights. DEMAND more mayonnaise.

My local Subway sure isn't! If I get distracted with my son or something else they'll load that sandwich with more mayo than any one person needs!

In my experience with subway....once you get past the meat and cheese, you can ask for more or less of any of the condiments....I always say...lots of mayo....and I get lots of mayo.

Their entire focus is on being a low fat, healthy fast food...mayo is super high in cholesterol and fats...so their policy is to limit it to a 'taste' and not a major ingredient of the sandwich.
