The Holocaust?

My friend is freaking out because her teacher gave her a book giving all these reasons why the Holocaust didnt happen. I'm trying to convince her that it did, anyone got any breathtaking evidence for me? Or play devil's advocate (or just disagree), I like the debate.

Who! Guys, please! I am not anti-semetic. I have been to a holocaust museum, I have read Anne Franks's diary and Night, I have even visited Germany and been to a concentration camp. The reason I asked this question was because I think its important for everyone to KNOW this happened, and know the facts. I don't think its right that the only reason some people beleived this happened is their blind faith. I think everyone needs to know the facts and evidence so there can be no doubt in their mind.

Wow--I know that you are not being anti-semetic. I am just suprised that a teacher would do this (please don't tell me it was a High school teacher or I might have to freak.) Anyway I guess all you can do is talk to your friend and ask her. See if she is willing to do the research. There should be survivors on websites etc... Besides tangible proof (like a museum/pics, relics) how can someone not believe it. But come on (this is not directed at you), what 60-70 years ago they had computers and generated those pics--. I mean those people look like skeletons, that was not made up. The emotional impact when you read these stories is too strong to be made up (it is buried in our collective conscious.) I think you might have a good debate with your friend about why people might want to pretend it didn't happen. Some people are so afraid to think that other people (in this case a very large number of people ) could be so evil. You had regular citizens really killing people and damning them in the worst way. It happens. And those people were just average every day Joes like you and me before. Kind of scary huh? But look at Darfur, Rwanda, Cambodia, Bosnia--It happens. I have talked to survivors of Bosnia so you can tell your friend that is real.

No, of course not. The SS were practically an entirely separate army ran apart from the Wermacht. They had their intelligence and administrative sections, infantry and military police units, and of course the people who specialized in planning the mass murders of Slavs and Jew they across in the wake of the main army moving forward.

To say the Holocaust didn't happen should be against the law in all countries, including the United States. I'm sorry, but you simply can't fake that happening and maintain it as some conspiracy for all these decades under the veil of conspiracy. There is waaaayyy too much evidence that proved it happened. Besides, if it didn't happen, then where did all those people who weren't exterminated go?

This kind of tripe ranks up there with all the conspiracy theories people like to pin on Semites as a whole, the whole "the Zionists are controlling everything" crap that is constantly heard in right wing rhetoric gets tiring.

Pray tell us what book is this? I guess your opening remark would be that it is a fictional book. There is no fact behind it, and the author is obviously a liar. I am sure he wont be sued for you can write hypothetically about anything. First of all get the Anne Frank story and let her read that and tell her to get plenty of tissue. Or rent the movie. There are old news reels on the site of www.history.com I suggest you look it up on that very site, and type in the WWII history and then go to the holocaust she will get an eyefull. There were so many witnesses, and the best of all is the Nuremburg trials, by our UN tribunals. We hanged many Nazi war Criminals because of their involvement in the death camps. Not enough were hanged ever and that is the shame of it. Adolph Eichmann escaped by was caught by the Israelis and he was tried and executed in Israel, look his trial up there as well. Look up the rescue mission of the US in the camps you will see plenty there as well. Good Luck, people sometimes for what ever reason, maybe they are German and take it personal, and want to live in denial, but get over it, they weren't there and they did not do it, so realize that everyone is capable of atrocities. After all I as an American take it personal about what I do but not something my ancestors did. We live in the future to change our bad behavior and improve on the mistakes of the past. When the red army arrived in Poland and Eastern Germany they actually found camps with hundreds and sometimes thousands of survivors. In and around the camps there were mass graves of people who had been gased(the gas ovens were in place) and shot. They were all buried in ditches. Amazingly most of the dead and survivors were of peculiar groups. JEWS, GYPSIES, HOMOSEXUALS AND SOCIAL DEMOCRATS ETC. Fancy all those people just lying around these places when the Russians arrived. The western allies also had the same experience.
Second of all, there was a conference in Wannsee(a suburb in Berlin). The purpose was to solve the problem of the Jews in the Reich. Although no written orders were ever given by Hitler he did express his "wish" for a final solution. We know of this because one of the beaurocrats who was there discussing the logistics of it didn't burn his copy of the final decision that he was supposed to after they had read it.
Furthermore, they caught the SS guards responsible and serveral of them commented that when the gas chambers were opened up after the gasing they noticed that the smallest and weakest victums were at the bottom and the strongest and biggest were piled at the top. Indicating that the strongest won the battle for more air and a bit more time.
Whilst there could be disagreement on the actual numbers(a Ginness book of records in the 1960s records 2,000,000) there is no doubt that a lot of people of certain groups were butchered by the nazis in the war.
In fact Hilter wrote in his first book MEIN KAMP that if the Jews caused a war by which Germany faced defeat or destruction then the every Jew in Europe would be exterminated. Furthermore it is noted and confirmed that Hitler hated the Jews and regarded them as mortal and lethal enemies to be crushed and dealt with. And the nazis do believe that they , the Jews, are the mortal and lethal enemy of the Ayran and must be destroyed before the Aryan takes his place as the dominant race on earth. And that the Jew is the great and hidious opponent of the Ayran and his major stumbling block to the Ayran's preservation and dominance. Given this and to quote a picture I once saw(THE BELIEVER) Hitler must have been a wuss and a wimp if with all these camps, equipment and men he could either only exterminated a few hundred thousand or done nothing. And when you think of the odds the Germans had against them and the military performance of and the time, energy and effort required to defeat them, really this belief of no or bastardised holocaust is way out of reality's pale.
Futhermore I wouldn't be to concerned about the teacher. The teacher is what we call in historical circles A REVISIONIST. A person who seeks to change history to suit their fantasies. The believers in this vane refuse to face facts and in believing, sympathising and/or temporising the nazis, do not even have the guts to admit that in the doing of their beliefs, sympathies or temporising that their favorites did according to their beliefs and or/ that they themselves are afraid to admit the reality of what they stand up for. For God's sake we fought a bloody six year war against these sons of bitches, which we almost lost. We put the bastards where they belong, in the pit of hades. Lets not now cannonise them. After all in my country, Australia, we have a saying peculiar to the wars: LEST WE FORGET.

First of, her parents should report the teacher to the school board. Who in their right mind would say that the holocaust didn't happen. That's like saying slavery didn't happen, or the world is indeed flat. There really is no need to attempt a refutation of her or her teacher's claims, unless the teacher was just trying to provoke debate. In that event, she could have chosen a better topic that is ACTUALLY OPEN to debate. Need evidence, try visiting the holocaust museum in DC, read Anne Frank, Elie Weisel(sp?), or watch the history channel, or google "holocaust survivors stories". I mean, really?

Both you and your friend should go to your parents and explain what is going on. Then the parents should go to the board of education to get the teacher fired.

During the last weeks of 2006 the Nazi records of the camps have been opened to the public. They detail every person made prisoner and every death. Even the Nazi records say it happened.

In addition, relatives of ours went with the American troops which freed some of the camps. They took pictures of the starving prisoners and of the dead and of the gas chambers and of the ovens.

When I began working in the late 1950s and the early 1960s some of the people I worked with had been in those camps and still had the tatoos on their arms. It happened.

I wish I could talk face to face with that teacher in front of the board of education. That teacher should never be allowed to teach.

The Holocaust happened,as much as any decent person may wish it wasn't true.

My mother lived in Berlin through the war. Her Father was in the army, but please don't confuse this with being a Nazi. Most of the Wermacht regular soldiers were not.

The news was kept secret for some time, but rumors of what was happening in the camps began to surface early in the war.
My mother has postcards from one of the camps, they are stamped with Hitler's picture, some pre-written comments to check off, such as I'm doing fine,(!)
I also knew a man who carried the truth of the camps on his forearm until the day he died. He was tatooed with the number assigned him a a boy. He was the only member of his family to survive.
Think it couldn't happen again? maybe not in Europe or here, where we did "intern" Japanese citizens during WWII, but sadly, there are countries just a strand of razor wire from this scene.

The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.

5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.

6. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.

7. America is a conspiracy and is a fake country and none of us Americans really live here.

There are many video's and books at the library that you can show your friend to prove the holocaust did exist. Found a website that should show that the holocaust did happen.
