I worked for an OBGYN.....I would try Monistat 7. If it does not clear up after that then contact your OBGYN or Internal Med doctor. According to your last visit. They may just call it in without you making an appointment. Try monistat (cream) then if no response to it Call your DR.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and tell you the alternative
medicine approach to a vaginal infection. Even after I tell
you this--I also tell you that you should see a doctor and get
a culture done as it may be a venereal disease, or caused
by a cut from intercourse.
Okay: most vaginal infections are not caused by bacteria,
but are an overgrowth of yeast or Candida. The primary cause
of a yeast infection is usually from a course of antibiotics.
Antibiotics are not selective, they kill ALL BACTERIA
in the body. There needs to be a balance of good AND
(WHAT IS CALLED-BAD). When the balance is gone,
the yeast that always lives in the body, has a chance to grow.
If not checked very soon, it can gravitate to other parts of
your body and be much more dangerous than vaginal
infection.
An alternative method of healing is to eat lots of yogurt with
LIVE culture --go to the health food store and get a good
probiotic. This is friendly bacteria and will establish a new
colony in your gut that will overcome the yeast. Either fresh
or pills of cranberry juice are greatly helpful. No sugar!!
Yeast loves sugar and thrives on it. Fastest treatment-
probably the Monostat and followed up with the alternative
methods
For intercoarse: It's vital to have your partner wash his
love portion very thoroughly before sex. An uncircumsized
man can transfer an infection more easily than a circumsized
one. If he wants it--he must wash it.

Depends on what the infection is caused by...what Bacteria is it? Bacterial infections require Antibiotics which are only obtained through prescriptions. It is serious and you oughta get medical attention if you are in pain and especially if you have fever.
Things can get worse real fast and you may end up in hospital on IV antibiotics and then onto oral antibiotics after that.

Well if you are talking about over the counter stuff it's because you don't want to see a doctor, you can try but if it doesn't work it could get worse and you'll need to see the doctor anyway, and spend more money on new medicines. It's up to you, but it's your health.

Go see a DR, they are the only ones that prescribe what you need to get it out of your system, don't mess around with it, it can turn into Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and ruin your fertility.

I'm pretty sure white discharge is normal but an itchy clitoris isn't. If your doctor isn't helping you.. Get a new one. He/she is clearly not doing their job if they're not helping you. Hope this helps:)
