dual band & up are working here. If your cell is locked, a lot of shops here that can open line so that you can use any sim card. Sim card is very cheap at P90.00 or $2.00 & up depends on the cell provider.

Just bring your cellphone. As long it has GPRS..... it is already okay here. A new SIM card cost around $2.00US .. so do not worry about the accessibility of your phone. Good luck and enjoy your trip here in the Philippines. We have 7001 Islands to choose from and 98% of that has cellphone signals. So Dont worry.

even dual band will do. its 900/1800 GSM. The 2 big cell companies are Globe and Smart. A new SIM card is dirt cheap and just as easy to get.
