Unfortunately, you can't just shut your feelings off like a light switch. What you can control is how you react to those feelings.
IF he doesnt want anything to do with you, the decision has been made.
If you go aganist his wishes, it wont make this situation better. In fact it has the potential to get way worse.
The more important question is
DO YOU REALLY LOVE HIM?
I think that maybe you are in love with who you thought he was.
He is obviously a jerk. Most people even if they did not feel the same way would be polite and respectful.
It is my opinion that he did you a huge favor.
He does not trust what you say because he is probably a liar himself.

First you need to ask yourself what it is about this person that makes you feel like you love them. Then depending on what you come up with will choose your next step. Many many people feel that they love someone when in fact if they really questioned themselves why they think it is love they do come out with a different word to define their feelings. Second if you find you do truly love this person than you will need to accept their answer and continue to work on the relationship to bring it to the level you would like to be at. You must remember if you truly love this person than you will accept their answer and move forward in a positive way. In true love there is a great deal of respect. That's the part that people either forget or just don't know that. Another thing you do not decide to love someone based on one conversation. You base it on who they are , what they believe in and they represent the truth. Never entertain the thought of adding someone to your life who is a liar. Talk about having problems, you will have many and that is no way to live. So have that talk with yourself and see what you come up with. Stay strong and remember these word i say about what love is based on. It will truly help you in your life ahead of you. Good luck

Girl! Let me tell you something. Love is blind sometimes. If he says harsh words to you like that its best to get reed of him. Because guys like him are not worth standing around for, even though you love him. If he really loves you or wants to be with you then he would here what you have to say. Not to mention that he may have lost someone very special to him. Girl this guy is a fool to do that to a nice girl like yourself. If you have feelings to let out you can do that, but let it go he's not worth having around.

Probably not girlfriend!! But then it also depends on wheather or not you 2 have a history together!! If you have been with him a long time & both of you have been through hell & made it back together, you might want to look deeper into what the problem could be. If you havent been with him that long.....kick his *** to the curb, cause you definatly dont need him & there is someone out there just for you!! Just dont rush it ;o)

i have the same thing going on right now. i cant just turn my feelings off. i still love him but i am trying to let go and i understand that it will take sometime. maybe a lot of time. you have to decide if hurting yourself by holding on to your love for him is worth it.

i think if you don't want to love him then don't. think about it he was probly drunk that night or day and he said he was sorry and you get back toeghter and do special things i mean you know what i am talking about then it's done maybe start a family if you want to if don't want to post some more commets and i will answer them for you ok just tell him how you feel again and may be he will think about it and you we do special things like i said just post more even about how your are doing i am always on here good luck i am here for you baby j ok. and happy new year.

Let him go. If he talks harshly to you now, if you did have a solid relationship and got married he would likely graduate to wife beating. There are nice men out there, go and look and you shall find them. Good luck.

No, I loved and put up with my spouses entire family not talking to me, why, because he told them he was unhappy and made me out to be a dragon lady, in the end, it was because he had a girlfriend 20 years his junior....and he wanted me to be the excuse for ending a marriage, he wanted to leave looking like the good guy......
