careers in mortgage processing or origination?

I'm considering getting into the field of mortgage processing or origination. Is there anyone out there in this field who can give me some feedback? Is the income based on salary or sales? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Processing and originating are 2 different things. Most processing positions offer a base plus a bonus to ensure you are all working towards a common goal while orig is usually comission only. Different shops offer different packages. You need to be sure you have a place willing to train you as well. It takes some time but if you are a people person it is a great career.
