I am from Wisconsin and I currently work full time at a firm that I have been at for 5 months. If I get a second part-time job and in the future I am laid off from my full-time job, can I still collect unemployment if I am working part time?

Well, I dont know about Wisconsin but in Louisiana you can make up to $50 a week. If you make over $50 then they usually take away dollar for dollar that you made at the job. I would look into the rules for the Unemployment office there in Wisconsin. You can usually find them at this link. http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/uiben/handbook/english/contentspart8.htm
Just scroll down till you see Computing Partial benefits and it explains everything to you.
I hope this helps you.

Yes, you can file for unemployment if you are laid off from your full time job. Just remember that the part-time job will effect how much money you qualify for. The unemployment will consider your part-time job as some income and it will reduce the amount of unemployment received versus if you did not have that part-time job. I hope this helps.

Yes you can however they will base your income from your second job and will deduct from the full amount of your unemployment that you would have received from your first job.

As far as I know, you can't collect unemployment if you have a steady income. http://www.lawguru.com would be a good place to find out for sure in your state. Hope that helps.
