No -- the state of Israel as we know it would not exist if not for the support given by America.

Had Israel not had the foresight to destroy Iraq's nuclear program, the first Iraq war would have been very different.
The answer is yes.
And the world owes Israel big time for major advancements in science, technology and medicine.
