Does tv control our minds do they use subliminal messages even though most people think it's illegal. What if tv uses alpha waves they are real to control our thoughts not literally just our subconsious. Is it possible im not paranoid just want to know peoples thoughts on this topic everybody has a tv so its possiible some crazy guys got the idea to use mind contol based on media advertising that really play with our emotions.

Having studied propaganda and psychology all of my life, being a nurse and having seen actual research related to how television influences us, I most strongly recommend that NO ONE watch television anymore. I'm quite serious. Especially not the news. Absolutely not should children be watching TV anymore.

There's nothing subliminal about tv advertising I think, but they do obviously try to influence you. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on advertising in order to try to convince people to buy their product. There are agencies monitoring such activities and competitors study prices and techniques used by others in their industry, so I doubt they could get away with "mind control" of any kind. As to posoning the minds of children... for much the same reasons, nothing sinister going on there I suspect. But the cartoons these days are worse than Road Runner ever was! lol

If showing stuff on TV, movies and videos has no influence on behavior and attitudes, then companies are wasting a whole lot of money on advertising.
No I don't think they are using subliminal messages, because they don't have to. People forget where they heard something, and internalize it as the truth without using subliminal messages.

Well yes, but they do not control your mind based on advertising. But those advertisements can have some serious effects depending on how resilient the person watching them is.
Seriously, pay close attention to commercials. Some of the things they say on them are so ridiculous I just start laughing. One VERY good example of this are those cologne/perfume commercials. They are always so serious and usually in gray scale, showing women in bikinis or something and are very suggestive of sex. Why? Its the only way they could think of to say "Our product makes you smell good". What?!

The variety of messages from tv shows and its ads. do INFLUENCE us to a large extent. But there are some people who DO NOT own, nor want a tv in their home at all while some use it to keep their kids entertained because they'r "too busy" - I think this is not beneficial for their kids.

Nothing subliminal about it . One becomes like what or who they associate with. If one watches TV their minds become duller and duller, able to tolerate more and more killing, violence's, sex, rudeness etc. We gradually pick up more and more of this in our conscience and become less and less compassionate. go to krishnaculture. Read Bhagavad Gita as it is by Bhaktivedanta Prubhupada and understand the mind, intelligence, psyche and our purpose in life.

I forgot my call - lots lots hate on blood on the dance floor basically for there look and there message approximately Sexual issues. i think of there ok. they have a sturdy message that there sending out to each physique. i'm now going to get a gaggle of dislikes. the 1st difficulty that includes my recommendations is my call.
