It's not so much the actual temp but the change in temp, like from winter to spring, the temp slowly gets warmer. Thunderstorms can also trigger spawning.

Temperature should be between 22-28degree centigrade,good aeration,lots of spawning mops and dim light will act as an impulse for gold fish breeding.
