Yesterday, my brother took the PS2 to a friend's house and he dropped it. Then he inserted a game and it turned on but the game didn't start.

Here in the sticks of New Hampshire, most of the guys who run the rental shops know all of that stuff and generally will repair although they do charge. It is not generally outrageous as they don't make that much money either. They sit around and play games all day and when the things break down they teach themselves how to fix them.
