I'm not sure if you mean

A = 1/(2ap) {2ap is all in the denominator} or

A = (1/2) ap {ap is not in the denominator but separate}

Can you add in the details what you mean exactly? I want to help.

A=(1/2)ap
A/((1/2)p)=a
a=2A/p

A = (1/2)ap

divide by (1/2)p
A/1/2p = a

That is, A over 1/2p = a

a is the variable and A and p are constants or parameters.
As the asker clarifies, A = ap/2
so a = 2A/p

A=1/2ap
step one: multiply both sides by 2
2A=ap
step two: divide both sides by p
2Ap=a
so a=2Ap

just remember you can do anything as long as you do it to both sides
