what would happen? What's the alternative?

Sometimes I think that people who find the voices of American minorites annoying, should really consider what the alternatives could include, and then simple whinning migh not seem so bad.

It is interesting that my my minority kindred spirits answered with volume, but the question was truly more directed at non minorities that complain about minorities who whine. Sorry if my question wasn't clear.

All minorities don't whine all day. I find that many of the more affluent people in this country whine as much as anybody else. The fact of the matter is that the legacy of blacks in the country is one of discrimination and abuse. We didn't even get the right to vote until the mid to late 1960's. Some of the same people who tried to keep us from having basic rights are still alive and well. I'm not sure who you have been around but you should really do some research on race relations and this country especially blacks. You would be surprised some at some of the **** we have been through to get to this point.

Huh? I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Personally, I think that if blacks and minorities stopped complaining and took control of their circumstances rather than blaming most of their problems elsewhere, that would be a great change. Until any of us, no matter what race, take charge of our own lives and take responsibility for changing the things that bother us, we can complain until we're blue in the face! What result comes from whining? We usually tell whining children that we can't understand them UNTIL they stop whining, or we simply ignore them. I think that's probably where the majority stands regarding listening to other people's complaints. Just my opinion.

Why is it that all the other races keep complaining about blacks but yet keep saying that we're the ones complaining......Doesn't make much sense to me

Imagine your grandmother telling you of a time in her life when she witnessed the ritual torture of her brother being stabbed, spat on, tied upside down to a tree, urinated on, then set alight by white men wearing hoods only to watch her brothers charred remains dumped in a ditch.

That is the legacy that African-Americans live with today.

These 'minority voices' are telling us stories your sheltered little mind will never be able to understand.

I don't complain... I do the jobs 'Americans' don't do... like washing cars, cutting grass, cleaning, working, protesting. The alternatives are rioting violently, and killing white people! sounds fun... Most stereotypes associated with immagrants are stupid and ill-informed. I find that most Blacks are happy with what they have. I am from Brazil, and compared to American blacks, AfroBrazilians have it worse. In the US, I laugh when I hear Blacks getting upset about stupid problems. I am part Black, so I see the whole thing a slly gimmic.

Just whining about something never helps anything. It's like busting your arm and just whining about it instead of getting it fixed. Many terrible things have been done to blacks, hispanics and native-americans (of which I am one), but action is the solution...not just whining.
