how do use an old monitor for my xbox 360?

I have an olf 19 inch LCD pc monitor, and it seems a waste not to use it. And i was going to buy a new small television for my room, for DVDs and my 360. Ive heard of the VGA cable that will plug into the monitior, but that leaves the componant cables for the sound. how can i plug these into speakers?

Buy an audio receiver (Wal-Mart $42) or a little cord to u can use computer speakers.
