I love High School Musical! It's the best show ever! Give comments about the show please...good or bad. Does anyone know when high school musical 2 is coming out?

it is Ok.... but because people have been obsessing over it and they play it on Disney Channel about once a month it is getting annoying.
I like the dances, and most of the songs. I hate Vanessa Hudgens as Gabriella. She isn't the person I would of chose.
I also can't believe they are putting it on Broadway. It doesn't seem Like Broadway quality to me and believe me I am like a freak about broadway....

Honestly, I thought High School Musical was cute, and the songs were catchy - pure Disney. I think it was good for a Disney movie. BUT if you actually look up the definition of the word "musical" (in the context it is used in the movie/stage show, as in Broadway Musical), the movie doesn't fit that definition. And, being a Broadway fan, just seeing High School Musical (movie) annoyed me - let alone it being turned into a stage show. It being turned into a stage show made me seriously consider boycotting Broadway, musicals, and anything pertaining to that... But I didn't.
Also, the stereotyping they did in the movie really pissed me off... I mean the whole "clique" thing... if you look around most high schools across the nation, yes, there are cliques... But are they really as specific as the ones that were depicted by Disney? No. They used several stereotypes that are widely believed to be true, but in truth, are rarities - like Ryan in the movie. I mean, being a male musical actor, if you looked at the way he dressed, many people would assume him to be gay. Stereotype. Enough said.
When you think about it, most shows/movies/whatever Disney comes out with that are set in a timeframe close to the present, there are always stereotypes that are just plain...stupid.
But that's straying from the topic.
Conclusion: High School Musical greatly annoys me.

I love the movie! Despite the cheesy song lyrics and many technical and visual flaws, the story line is amazing and the casting was fantastic! The characters did excellent and the tunes where very catchy. I was disappointed with the strong stereo typing they did though. I mean, look at Ryan! That speaks for it all. No, I don't know when High School Musical 2 comes out but I guess it will in the summer. But overall I loved the movie and I can't wait for High School Musical 2.

hey!! I think high school musical is honestly the best movie that is on disney channel! The cast of hsm just make everyday life just a little bit more fun, (esspecially the dance along, lol)! Vannessa is the quiet singer, Zac is the pretty boy, Ashley is the drama queen, Monique is the brain, Chad is the follower, amd Lucas is the drama queen's brother! OH and yes! I am sooooo excited for high school musical 2!! It is coming out in the summer of "07. here is the trailer for it!!

Um... Well, for a made-for-TV movie for teens, it was good. It's a great concept to do a musical spectacle for teens.
As a musical, I don't believe it deserves to be called such. The storyline is too shallow. The vocals too...Britney Spears-esque (ew!!!!). And the characters don't sing with their real voices!

High school Musical is the most OUTRAGASLY AWESOME movie ive ever seen in my life i have to admit im obsesed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! High scool Musical2 is comin out in summer 2007 they are just startin to film it!!! I went to the concert yesterday in Rochester and it was the best!!!!! They sell high school musical stuff at Limeted too just so you know

omg i loved it that movie was the best ever troy is so cute and him and gabriella make a cute couple. i think the movie comes out in the summer.
