I recently got some new shoes and the fabric part has gotten dirty (these are Nike Shox).. is there anything I can use to restore the white again?

P.S. I've washed them.. hasn't helped.

have you tried putting them in the washing machine in a pillow case with your other clothes

whenever my shoes get dirty I just put them in and then dry them with all of my other clothes and they come out really clean

I know it sounds really wierd but it works

This is very gentle. It is good for even washable white silk.

1 part hydrogen peroxide
8 parts water

Mix in a dishpan or sink a sufficient amount to cover the shoes to be bleached. Immerse shoes for 5 to 30 minutes to remove stains or lighten shoes. Rinse shoes in clear water and discard bleaching mixture. Be careful of using regular bleach, when can actually turn items yellow instead of white.

My granny taught me this magic trick when I was a tom-boy (still am) in elementary school with my white leather & canvas athletic shoes. Wash them in washing machine w/ liquid automatic dishwasher soap/detergent..yep same one we use in the disherwasher--its very strong. When cycle ends washing, remove from washing machine & while wet, take a bottle of white shoe polish w/sponge on end & while shoes are WET polish them, let the polish set a few minutes and do it again, let them dry completely-not the dryer, but outside or set under the front of your fridge where the warm air flows out.

Try an S.O.S pad...they are only like $3 for an entire box...
They have always worked for me - its soap on steel wool and all you have to do is get the pad wet and rub it onto your shoe and then rinse! :) works like a charm!

Only thing I've seen is scrubbing them with bleach-alternative detergent and a scrub brush.
