And don't forget large doses of Nazi / fascist overtones as well. You might want to check out Lucas' connection with Joseph Campbell. Campbell's series on PBS, "Power of Myth" was a classic, and talked openly about Star Wars.

No way. Star War is Star Wars and that's all there is too it. There's no hidden meaning and there sure isn't any type of allegorical connection between the movie and corporate America. Just my take.

That's an interesting take on Star Wars. I usually hear it as a religious/spiritual allegory.
