Depends on your employer and what they decide to do. Plan on going before the nursing board within the next 180 days and be put on probation. You will have to go to drug class and submit to drug testing. Once your probation is cleared ( no positive tests, satisfactory completion of probation) your license will be reinstated without restrictions. Let your next employer know about this pending situation upfront. They will need to know to prepare paperwork to hire you. They may support you with open arms, and give you the support you need during this time. Be Honest with them and good luck! People get mixed up for all kinds of reasons. Be Honest with the Board of Nursing also..Hang in there if you still want to be a nurse! It's a hard road ahead and you have to be strong with a level head to get through it.

Your license will be suspended until you attend a drug rehab and complete that....then probably a probation period. It will stay on your file with the board for some time though if not forever.
And yes, you will be called before the board to a hearing on this.

This varies state to state, but you'll probably be allowed to complete a program for impaired professionals and have your license suspended, then reinstated with restrictions until you're found to be trustworthy.
And if you don't think you have a problem, that's a problem. You knew the rules. They may seem silly in some circumstances, but they're there and you knew it.

This difficulty became examined interior the US ideally suited courtroom case of Skinner vs. hard artwork Assoc in 1989 and that's been the final courtroom ruling on the difficulty. the final difficulty last is the definition of a "secure practices-mushy place." finally, for workers, you may drug try all and sundry who has had an twist of destiny except it of course not the staff fault, like a rear-end collusion at a end easy.
