Like, who would they be equivelent to in the USA?

I'd say they'd be the equivelant of Jessica Simpson or Mandy Moore or Britney Spears about a year or so ago before the K-Fed divorse and partying with Paris Hilton. Basically they still have some fame, but are not as huge as they were before, and they're working on a comeback.
They rached their height of fame by 2003, but took a break around late 2004/early 2005. Yulia had a baby, she's the one with dark hair (Lena was the redhead). The two then put out a couple of albums in late 2005/Early 2006 and they started performing again. Supposedly they plan to get into a movie in 2007. It would be interesting to see what happens.
