Yeah, I've done it a few times before... I haven't done it with drinks, but candy... The drinks aren't too big of a rip-off, but the candy really is --- especially when you can get a big bag of something for the same price the concession stand charges for a small bag...

I used to. But I like the popcorn there. I applied at the theater once, and they told me that the price of the snacks are what pays the employees. The ticket prices pay the actors! It's nuts.
So knowing all that, I just pay for the snacks since I know why they cost so much.

Once before. What I snuck in was popcorn in a brown paper bag the size of theirs so in the dark it looked like theirs. Yeah the prices are a rip off. $3.00 for a half of a weiner. It was like eating c-rations. Popcorn not good at all. They need to have options. Like one kettle corn and another cheddar. The nachos......stingy portions. Oh yeah, I snuck in a 20oz. soda bottle. I was scared of the opening the cap part, especially with the cap hissing, that would give me away. But, I was cool. Basically I felt like sticking it to their butts for ripping me off on things I could get at a cheaper price. Convenient my tail. Those boxes of candies cost a $1.00 at Dollar Tree and the nerd ropes two for a dollar their too. I can buy a pack of hot dogs for a dollar and a pack of buns for a dollar. Let's not even mention the size of 7 eleven's hot dogs. And they are huge and got kick when you bite into them.
Oh yeah I learned that majority of the movie goers sneak in food on a basis. I seen people eating burgers and fried chicken. I was relieved yet appalled. Appalled because they went overboard and they were licking their fingers so loud I heard them. Large purses with alot of stuff covering the evidence is the key.
Didn't mean to write a story but I liked your question.

Thats an interesting question. I have only done that once with my dad when we saw Terminator 3, and we just had like peanuts in our pockets and it was during the daytime so we saw it. I usually tend to buy drinks and popcorn there because the fresh popped popcorn with extra butter just reminds me how i love going out and enjoyin a nice flick ju kno maine?

Pockets....large purse....

I actually got toossed out of a movie theater for bringing my own food...my arguement was that the conscssion stand prices were just too high...besides it had been a long time since I'd had a good Bar-b-que...

3 reasons-
1) My local has a limited "menu",and I don't want over iced sodas and popcorn every time I go,and
2) I don't want to wait in another line for the snacks after waiting for the tickets! and
3) yup,the prices are a ripoff!

Yes, I have two children. I wear a big heavy coat that has six pockets sewn on the inside, especially made for this purpose. You can also buy coats like this very cheap, at good will stores. You just have to keep looking.

yes - the prices of concessions at the movies is insane - the only thing I buy from the concession stand is popcorn - but that's just because it is so yummy.

Nope. I buy my snacks and soda there. I know it's expensive but I plan for it and I accept it as part of the "theater going experience".
