How do I keep my ring from falling off finger w/o resizing it?

Question

I have a class ring that's pretty loose now. Is there something I can insert (maybe a household item?) to keep it from falling off? I don't want to resize it as my finger size seems to vary over the years. Thanks!

Claire Boutiques, Icing, or Walmart stores sell ring snuggies that are little clear plastic pieces that clip onto the back of the ring band to make it a little tighter on your finger. Some people find them a little bulky or uncomfortable, but a package containing a bunch of different sizes for different size widths costs less than $5! Just remember, the snuggie doesn't have to wrap all the way around the band to be used, so if it feels to bulky, just try a smaller one!

If you are in a jam and need it resized quickly wrap scotch tape around it a few times to make it smaller. BUT they sell special inserts in places like Claires or Icing that can make your ring smaller.

Buy the ring sizers... I know you can get them cheap at Claire's or Icings (located in most malls)... I believe you can even get them at Walmart, too. They really work, I've used them. It's much better than anything that may fall off and cause you to even lose your ring! They come in different sizes, so you're bound to find one that fits.

You don't. You could try some metal glue, put it on the inside btm of your ring, once it is dry, sand it down so it doesn't cut your finger. Or do the good ole band-aid/tape trick, but that looks cheap.

A jewelry counter (even Wal-Mart) can sell you some plastic sleeves that fit your ring. They are really cheap and invisible when the ring is on your finger.
