I haven't been happy with my marriage for 2 years. She was a homemaker for the first 8 years of our marriage and has only been employed for 1 year. Her career is about to take off soon and now it is the kids that I stay in the relationship for. I do not want to hurt any of them or cause them pain so I suffer silently and pretend that I still want her. I have been seeing another woman, although as of yet, the relationship is not sexual. Every free moment I have is devoted to trying to figure out how I should deal with the situation permanently.

I tried to stay but in the long run it was not the best thing to do. Now my daughter sees me happy and that the stress of the marriage relationship is no longer affecting my relationship with her. The best thing to do if you can setup a shared parenting so both of you can give the kids the love of both parents. If you can agree on a shared plan maybe you can work with a parenting coordinator to help you guys work out what is really best for the kids.

Well I feel that is a personal qeustion & no ones business, but no you just hurt the kids more by staying, if your in a bad relationship & always unhappy & fighting the kids can sense that & you just need to leave & be happy

no no no no no. I would never want my parents to stay together for my sake. Children understand a lot more than parents give them credit for. Although you myay argue behind closed doors, the kids still understand. If you to are better apart, the kids will benefit as well.

I am happily married, wanna know why?? cause we have no kids. And, I won't have them, so one day if our marriage is bad, kids won't keep with someone I resent. I feel bad for people in bad marriages "just" for the kids.
I would rather be married and keep my fish tank as my kids.

I am ver unhappy, but my kids mean the world to me. They did not ask to be here, and I think it is my duty to make sure they have everything they need. Including two parents.
