Okay. All my life, I have received nothing but mean comment about my hair color. They are always life, "why do they call it red hair when it is more orange head?" And a few guys wouldn't date me because I am redhair. Is it just the place where i am living, that despise redhead, or is it everywhere?

Redheads are beautiful. All the static about redheads having a temper are rubbish too. I have a granddaughter that has the most beautiful head of red hair. She is also the reining Apple Festival Princess so somebody else besides me likes red heads as well. Having such a rare hair color just helps to make you more special and unique. Enjoy standing out from the rest of us brunettes and blonds!

You should be proud to be a redhead. They are as rare as orchids. I have red hair and I would not have it any other way. Yes, I was teased as a kid and I got called many names. Back then I hated it. Now, I would not trade it for the world. There are tons of websites dedicated just to redheads!

Don't listen to those morons. It's stupid how these idiots make such a big deal out of things that no person can choose. All skin colors, hair colors, and eye colors are beautiful. There is not one that is better than the other. When I was a younger, I wished that I had blue or green eyes because some people told me my dark brown eyes are ugly. Now I realize that my eyes are beautiful, and I'm okay the way I am, I don't have to have blue eyes to be beautiful. It's very ignorant for anyone to judge another person by something as superficial as the color of hair, eyes, and skin. Don't worry about it, there are people out there who realize that beauty is not about what the stupid media says.

I have red hair and I don't hate redheads. And I got asked that question once, but it was a stupid question. Anyone can clearly see my hair was not orange. People are just trying to make you angry. It really depends on a person and not a place.

ok...let me tell you because i have red hair myself...i completely understand what you are talking about...all the lame *** boys make fun of it calling you "carrot top" and all the other names, and that gets extremely annoying. boy do i know! my hair is very red, not dark red, i mean RED! all the old ladies compliment on how beautiful it is, but u wonder what do others think, that are your age. you cant ask your freidns because they are friends and wont be truthful....whether thats being fakely nice or playing around meanness. personally, there are the times that i love red hair, and times i hate it. but i am starting to enjoy having it, because when you see movies and commercials wth the actoresses with fake red hair you can pick that out and no one else can! i am starting to enjoy having red hair also because it sets me apart from other girls. when i get dressed up, sometimes i think that maybe my dress would look better on a blonde, so then i dont wear that dress and pick something that brings out my hair. but yet, thats the problem! finding a dress to compliment our hair is a pain. red hair looks great by green just to let you know =) ...its ok to light a room, and make people recognize your there.
basically what im trying to say is...red hair is what you got, and either live with it and flaunt it, or if you really hate it, dye it. red hair is different, and different is beautiful!

I don't have anything against redheads. And i have no idea why they call it red instead of orange. I guess cause orange head sounds weird. No one that in know make fun of red heads or anything. (i'm blonde and they everyone is more of making fun of dumb blondes) Also those guys who wouldn't date you b/c of your hair color. They are stupid. They care more about looks then anything else which isn't someone you should date.

Girl, you have got to find other people to hang out around....your hair color is gorgeous, I'm sure. To select a part of your question as the answer... It is where you live. I dye mine to be red. You can always add highlights, too..golden blonde is a wonderful compliment. You need to realize that your hair and every part of you is as perfect as you see it to be. Stand up and be proud of your beauty. Claim it and then let the men come crawling. Do a quick search for "men who love redheads" if you are old enough. You'll be surprised. red hair isnt the matter. some redheads have given other redheads that bad reputation. maybe it is where u live. here where i live no one complains about anything. but up north they do. maybe its just the type of persons u talk to. red hair has nothing to do with anything. i would rather be called redhead then orangehead u know what im sayin?

I have red hair, well it's a darker shade of red, but still you can tell it's red. My fiance' loves it. Most guys around this area (mid USA) like red heads.
If you don't like it you could alway try toning it down a few shades with dye. My Grandfather had bright red hair and dyed his. My mother use to as well.
And you could always tell them, "Well you know what they say about red heads?" and leave it at that. Make em wonder.

I dont hate redheads, and i dont think anyone despises them... but i dont find redheads at all attractive. But if people go as far as making fun of your hair color, their most likely jealous, or just really immature.
