Yes its free... you dont need the pro version, that one is not free.

I would suggest Frostwire over Limewire though. It's free and better than LimeWire Pro. However, did have issues a few months back when they updated. Might be fixed now.

If you are using a Mac I would suggest AquisitonX. It connects to Limewire networks but runs better on Macs... but is not free.

All three of these go off the same place. You do the same search in Limewire you do in Frostwire and you will go to the same thing. It's all open source.

Basic limewire is free
but pro limewire isn't
although viruses is still a threat

Limewire is a free for a lesser version but for the best youll need to pay sorry. (Limewire is an illeagle file sharing program.)

Yes, there is a free version, and it'll ask you, everytime you open it, if you'd like to upgrade to the version that costs money.

the basic version is free. I reccomend that one over the pro, it doesn't make much of a difference.

yes lime wire is free . but i wouldn't recommend it , its relay addicting once you get started you cant stop , next thing you know your down loading trouble . but that's relay your decision . hope you make the right one .
