when I bought my curtians I hung them thinking the creases would eventually fall out. It has been a month now and they look like they just came out of the wrapper.

Place them in the dryer on no heat, and tumble them.

You'll need to iron them with a medium hot iron, on the front - BUT - and this is important - take all of the water out of the iron first. Silk will stain if a drop of water hits it, so I never steam it and always use a completely dry iron. Then have a friend grab one end and walk straight from the ironing board to the curtain rod and hang them right up. I am a designer with a curtain business, and that's how we do it. Good Luck!

Here is what I did.. I placed a white cloth over the crease and ironed it.. that brought the creases out to being FLAT.. I would not sprinkle water on the curtains unless it could be a very very light spray(I would have done that if I had a spray bottle but I did not have any and really.. did not need any)

Use a hand-held steamer and they will fall right out. You can buy them most anywhere... Walmart, Target etc. Good luck. Remember to follow the manufacturers directions so as not to damage the silk. Also I believe most irons have a silk setting, although it may be a pain to take them down again. Good luck.

Iron them. Use 'steam' setting to really get them smooth. Test first on the back side on the hem, but unless the silk is very thin and fragile, they should be fine. Silk is very strong and is usually very iron-able. (Also check the label for ironing information). Take your time and don't rush; ironing is all practice.

If you have a small bathroom you can hang them in there the next time you take a hot shower. It works like steaming them only it's the lazy way. do not hang them directly in the way of the water.

Buy some of that "wrinkle relaxer" spray.
It really works good on clothes....
Just read the label to be sure it is OK for silk.

toss them into the dryer with a wet bath towel. remove them immediately when cycle is finished. twenty minutes should do it. use low or moderate heat on silk.

You should iron them... but be very careful because they're silk.
