Mostly spur of the moment.
It seems that well thought plans have a way of falling through, so you need a back up, and a back up for the back up.
It's so much easier to go with the flow and improvise.

It depends on the situation and my mood, but usually I' am the spur of the moment kind of person, because I like to be spontaneous and fun.
