Two places, one, look in the yellow pages for a refurbished laptop. Dell makes a good machine, it doesn't have the same bells and whistles and the battery doesn't last as long as a top of the line machine, but for the price, it's a good deal.

Www.buy.com is an excelent online store with many options. For a good inexpensive laptop i sugest you get what i got from there the acer aspire 5040 its 650 and sells for over a thousand at other websites.

Dell.com has some really great prices on their new laptops and your going to get the service you need for it, I see it happen time after time when people buy laptops on ebay or refurbished with no warranty and they end up not working long or not at all, so its better to pay just a little bit more for that security.

It depends on your price range. Laptops have become inexpensive lately. You could get a toshiba or compaq for around 300-400. check bestbuy/fry's/officemax/staples/etc.
