How do you rate these two Presidents (Joseph Estrada (in-jail), Corazon Aquino (with a wayward daughter)) after being the President of the Philippines? Is the Philippines no better off after the Marcos Regime (Hey, everyone knows they stole)?

No. These people are not competent to run the country. Erap who stole millions of dollars (although rosed from a Mayor to the President) shows that he only won thru popularity because of his film celebrity status and Cory won because she got the sympathy of the people. These people shouldn't be in office. But they were voted. Maybe the Philippines deserve what they are getting. Others who disagree migrate to other countries like the US. Too bad!

I'm afraid not. For Estrada, he plundered so much money to support his vices (gambling, mistresses, drinking, etc.) and it was so bad he got caught. I really wondered why he was elected in office in the first place. As for Cory, she is a total disappointment. She had the opportunity and power to resolve the country's corruption and all she did was stand idly by and let the corrupt people in government do their usual stuff. So you can see the thinking masses migrating to another country by the millions.

No, the Philippines is actually no better off today than it was during the marcos regime. Poverty is still the main concern, the economy is in shambles. Foreign investors are still reluctant to come to the country, and get this, majority of college educated Filipinos or Filipinos in general are still choosing to migrate to other countries, because they see better opportunities elsewhere.

Why he implemented many of the Immigration reform bill's policies by executive order instead of waiting on a congressional vote?

No, definityely not. This country is plague with people who are corrupted to the core. They will seek political position, steal the country'e wealth and retire in the US. It is still happening. The politicians & ex-politicians (trapo-traditional politicians) are so corrupt they want to get back in the government to steal more money & get back on their opponents.
